tips for a healthy mindset

sometimes it can be truly challenging when you're going through something to maintain a healthy mindset/perspective on life.

here are some of the things that i do to help me!

disclaimer: i am not a mental health professional this is not advice that i am advertising u to take

  1. reflection

something that i do that helps me think more positively about my situation is reflections. either journaling or just simply thinking. think about yourself five years ago. then three years ago. then a year ago. then today. how much have you grown? how have you improved as a person? this can be difficult if you are not good at building yourself up self esteem wise. but if you genuinely give this a try, i think you'll be able to pinpoint at least one moment of growth that you have had, and to be proud of that

2. log those small victories!

this is super important to me. sometimes its really hard to be able to see growth, or see your accomplishments, especially when they aren't something as big as moving to another city, getting a great new job, or some defining moment in your life. there are little victories that you win every single day. start giving yourself credit for doing these things!

3. manifesting self love

this has been so helpful for me. i highly recommend doing this if you struggle with self love, self esteem, etc. every single time you look in the mirror i want you to work on saying kind words to yourself. not the bullshit like, "im great. i love me. i have pretty hair." go deep. not surface level. repeat these things every single time you see yourself in the mirror, whether it be in your head or out loud. for example, i say the following each time i look in the mirror:

"i wholeheartedly love myself, i accept myself and my body for how it is today. i am intelligent, i am capable, etc etc etc"

as i come up with or look at more things that help me i will add to this list.
